IMPORTANT UPDATE: To register for Before & After School Care for the start of the school year, parents must register by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. This will provide access to Before & After School Care for the start of the school year on August 19, providing that space is still available at your chosen school. For families that register after 5 p.m. on August 13, Before & After School Care will begin on Tuesday, September 2. Register here today!

That’s why our Before and After School Care Programs are designed with busy families in mind, offering reliable, state-certified child care right at your child’s elementary school in the School District of Lancaster.
Our caring, trained staff creates a warm environment where your child can thrive. Each day includes fun, engaging activities that support classroom learning, help build friendships, encourage communication skills, and keep kids active and happy.
We also provide homework help during our after-school program, so your child has the time, space, and support to work on assignments and build good study habits — giving you more quality time together at home.

Before and After School Care registration is open for the following School District of Lancaster Elementary Schools: Burrowes, Carter & MacRae, *Fulton, Hamilton, Lafayette, Martin, Price (held at Lancaster Rec Center), Ross, Smith-Wade-El, Washington, Wharton and Wickersham. *These schools are currently being waitlisted as we assess school needs for potential programs. Please note: School sites are subject to change.
Programs are provided from 6:30 a.m. to the start of school and 3:15-6 p.m. with the exception of every second Wednesday of the month, which runs from 12:30-6 p.m.
Please note: If the School District has early releases or delays, this will affect the schedule. See your School Age Care Family Handbook for further information.
Before and After School BrochureSome families may qualify for financial help for their child care. Subsidized care is handled by Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC). Call 717-393-4004 for details.
Registration
Registration Requirements for Before and After School Care
Children may not attend the Before and After School Care program until all required registration items have been submitted.
All forms are included in the online registration process, but you will need to upload the following documents:
- Completed and signed Health Assessment (Physical) Form
- Immunization (Shot) Records
Document Requirements by Grade Level:
- Kindergarten and Grades 5 and up: Physical and immunization records must be less than one year old
- Grades 1 through 4: Physical and immunization records may be older than one year

All-Day Camp is held on teacher in-service days, Act 48 days, conference days, during school recesses and vacations except Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Memorial Day. Snow days may affect the schedule of All-Day Camp. Children will receive a snack.
All-Day Camp is included in weekly costs, no additional fees required.
